Design and painting are my parallel fascinations. Both offer the opportunity to explore the study of colour, a subject of never ending fascination. Painting and drawing also allow the exploration of the texture and surface quality of an artwork, as well as indulge my interest in the intersection of reality and abstraction.
Formal fine art study began at an age too young to mention, followed by tuition with eminent Australian art teachers over the years. Special thanks to Leyla Spencer FRAS.
In 2006, my professional design studies led to a Master of Design degree from the University of Technology Sydney, with a focus on colour theory and research..
When exploring the paintings you will find works in oils, acrylic and mixed media with subjects ranging from people, objects, abstracts to the occasional landscape.
Over the years, study trips to Portugal, Italy and Spain to see great works and paint have inspired, with work in private collections in Sydney, Melbourne, London, USA and Spain.
